Decorative Vector Ornaments: Paper cut 010

Woohoo – I’m into double figures for my ongoing mission of adapting/cutting designs from the “922 Decorative Vector Ornaments” book (as mentioned in this post.)

This one definitely needed a new blade, so I treated myself to a shiny replacement blade. Because of that the cutting went quite well, and I don’t think I accidentally cut or ripped any of it:

Decorative Vector Ornaments: Paper cut 009

This is Day 9 of my mission adapting/cutting designs from the “922 Decorative Vector Ornaments” book (as mentioned in this post.)

This one took nearly an hour to cut. I was using a fairly blunt scalpel blade, so I really should have changed it, but (1) I couldn’t be bothered, and (2) it feels a bit wasteful to change a blade every time I cut a new design.

When I start tearing and stretching the paper I know that it’s really time to change the blade. So I guess the next piece will be cut with a new blade. (See if you can spot where I accidentally ripped this one):

Decorative Vector Ornaments: Paper cut 006

Day 6 in my adventure adapting/cutting all of the designs in the “922 Decorative Vector Ornaments” book (as mentioned here).

This was a fairly big and detailed design so it took a few days to finish. Even though the lower lines have gone wiggly because the paper got a bit stretched, I still quite like it:
