I can’t believe I’m over a third of the way through my current project (cutting a design a day for 100 days, from the “922 Decorative Vector Ornaments” book).

Day 33 of this project based on the “922 Decorative Vector Ornaments” book. Wow – I’ve done more than a month’s worth of cuttings already!

I actually 100% like this one! It’s quite an elegant-looking Art Nouveau style design, and I can see myself incorporating this into papercuts in the future.

Day 32 of this project based on the “922 Decorative Vector Ornaments” book. Wow – I’ve done more than a month’s worth of cuttings already!

A delicate little leaf piece:

Actually, even though the jagged bits sort of leap out at me (especially on that end curve bit), I still like this piece. Because I’ve realised that if I made it with the laser cutter then yeah, it would have been perfectly smooth, but it’s actually the little mistakes and jagged bits that show that a real live human being has created this piece:

Waaaah – I can see loads of jagged bits that just leap out at my eyes!

…but as usual, I think that one day I will get round to ‘pruning’ some of the lines that offend me, and then it might look quite nice 🙂
